Install on WordPress
Use the Inclusif WordPress plugin to install and configure the widget without editing your website's source code.
Requirements
- WordPress 5.5 or later
- PHP 7.4 or later
- An Inclusif API key authorized for your website domain
- A WordPress administrator account
Install the plugin
- Sign in to your WordPress administration panel.
- Go to Plugins > Add New.
- Search for Inclusif.
- Find Inclusif Widget and select Install Now.
- When installation finishes, select Activate.
Configure the widget
- Open Inclusif Widget from the WordPress administration menu.
- Enable Accessibility Tools.
- Enter the API key from your domain's Widget page in the Inclusif dashboard.
- Choose the widget language and position.
- Configure the optional support link and accessibility statement.
- Leave debug mode disabled unless you are troubleshooting an installation problem.
- Select Save Settings.
The WordPress plugin supports English and Spanish. You can position the floating button at the top, center, or bottom of either side of the screen.
Verify the installation
- Open a public page of your website in a new browser tab.
- Confirm that the Inclusif floating button appears.
- Select the button and confirm that the accessibility panel opens.
If you are signed in to WordPress and use a page cache, test in a private browser window as well.
Troubleshooting
If the widget does not appear:
- Confirm that Accessibility Tools is enabled in the plugin settings.
- Confirm that the API key was copied without extra spaces.
- Confirm that the current website domain is authorized for the API key.
- Clear your WordPress or hosting cache after changing the settings.
- Temporarily enable debug mode and check the browser console for Inclusif messages.
